Oil Patch Careers Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of OilPatchCareers.com and the services offered through Oil Patch Careers (“Oil Patch Careers,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, purchasing a membership, posting a job, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Our Services
Oil Patch Careers provides career-related services designed to help individuals identify and pursue employment opportunities in the oil, gas, energy, construction, industrial, and related industries. Services may include candidate registration, career profiles, résumé creation and modification, job listings, job matching, application assistance, automated or AI-assisted career tools, job alerts, and links or connections to third-party employers and recruiting systems.
Oil Patch Careers is not an employer and does not guarantee employment, interviews, job offers, compensation levels, hiring decisions, or placement with any particular employer. Employers make their own independent hiring decisions.
2. Candidate Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a candidate account. You agree to provide truthful and reasonably accurate information. False, fraudulent, misleading, or impersonated information may result in account suspension or termination.
3. Candidate Accounts
Candidates create an individual account before completing their professional profile, résumé, membership purchase, or other member services. You are responsible for protecting your username and password and for activity occurring through your account. You may update your résumé, employment history, skills, certifications, contact information, and other profile information using available account tools.
4. Candidate Membership
Monthly Membership — $39 for the first month, then $19 per month. Your selected payment method is charged $39 when you subscribe. Beginning with the next monthly billing period, your membership automatically renews at $19 per month until canceled.
Annual Membership — $149 per year. Your selected payment method is charged $149 when you subscribe and automatically charged $149 annually until canceled.
Monthly Membership — $39 the first month, then $19/month. Your selected payment method is charged $39 when you subscribe and automatically charged another $39 the first month, then $19/month until canceled.
Annual Membership — $149 per year. Your selected payment method is charged $149 when you subscribe and automatically charged $149 annually until canceled.
The price and renewal terms applicable to your purchase are displayed before payment.
5. Automatic Renewal Authorization
By selecting a recurring membership and completing checkout, you expressly authorize Oil Patch Careers and its payment processor to charge your selected payment method for the applicable membership fee at the stated recurring interval until canceled. You may cancel future automatic renewals through available billing-management options or by contacting Oil Patch Careers. Cancellation prevents future renewal charges but does not ordinarily result in a refund of a membership period that has already begun, except where required by law or expressly provided by us.
6. 90-Day AI Priority Placement Assistance
If you have not secured employment during your first 90 days of membership, you may become eligible for complimentary access to the Oil Patch Careers AI Priority Placement Assistant. This enhanced assistance may help identify stronger-fit jobs, prioritize opportunities based on your profile, identify new openings, improve or tailor résumé and application materials, and organize and focus your employment search.
“Priority Placement Assistance” means enhanced assistance provided by Oil Patch Careers. It does not mean that an employer will give you preferential consideration. The service does not guarantee an interview, job offer, employment, particular salary, hiring decision, or preferential treatment by an employer.
7. Job Listings
Oil Patch Careers may display opportunities obtained from employers, public employment information, authorized APIs, recruiting platforms, government sources, or other permitted sources. Job availability can change at any time. Oil Patch Careers does not warrant that every listing is error-free, currently available, or suitable for a particular candidate. Candidates should independently review employer requirements before applying.
8. Application Assistance
Where available, Oil Patch Careers may help candidates locate applications, prepare application materials, or facilitate submission of candidate information. When you affirmatively request an application or submission, you authorize us to use information in your account and résumé for that purpose and, when necessary, transmit relevant information to the applicable employer, recruiting platform, or application system. You remain responsible for reviewing the accuracy of information submitted on your behalf.
9. AI-Assisted Services
Some features may use artificial intelligence or automated systems to create résumés, analyze qualifications, rank opportunities, recommend positions, improve application materials, or otherwise assist candidates. AI-generated recommendations are informational tools and can make mistakes. Candidates should review important information before submitting it to an employer.
10. Communications
By creating an account, you agree that Oil Patch Careers may contact you using the contact information you provide for purposes reasonably related to your account and requested services, including account administration, registration processing, résumé/profile services, job-opportunity notifications, requested application activity, billing, security notices, and customer support.
Promotional or marketing email consent is collected separately where appropriate. Marketing consent is not a condition of purchasing membership, and marketing emails will provide an unsubscribe mechanism.
11. Employer Job Advertisements
Employers may purchase job advertisements through Oil Patch Careers. Unless otherwise stated at checkout, an employer advertisement costs $50 for each 30-day advertising period and automatically renews for additional 30-day periods at $50 when the employer expressly authorizes recurring billing. Employers may cancel future renewals.
All employer advertisements are subject to review. Payment does not guarantee publication. We may reject, suspend, or remove advertisements reasonably believed to be fraudulent, misleading, discriminatory, unlawful, unrelated to legitimate employment, or inconsistent with these Terms. Employers are solely responsible for their job descriptions, hiring requirements, compensation representations, legal compliance, and hiring decisions.
12. Payments
Payments are processed through a third-party payment processor, currently Stripe. Oil Patch Careers does not need to store your complete credit or debit card number in the OilPatchCareers.com database. You authorize our payment processor to process charges associated with purchases you authorize.
13. Refunds
Except where otherwise expressly stated or required by applicable law, fees for membership periods and advertising periods that have already begun are generally non-refundable. We may issue refunds or credits at our discretion where appropriate. Nothing in these Terms eliminates any refund, cancellation, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived.
14. No Employment Guarantee
Purchasing an Oil Patch Careers membership does not purchase a job or guarantee placement. Membership fees are charged for access to career-related services, technology, job information, résumé/profile tools, matching, and assistance. Oil Patch Careers cannot control an employer’s hiring decisions.
15. Acceptable Use
You may not use Oil Patch Careers to commit fraud, impersonate another person, distribute malicious software, scrape or extract our proprietary candidate database without authorization, interfere with site security, gain unauthorized access to another account, knowingly submit false employment information, or use the platform for unlawful purposes. We may restrict or terminate accounts engaged in misuse.
16. Third-Party Services
Oil Patch Careers may contain links to employer websites, recruiting platforms, government websites, payment processors, and other third-party services. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. Oil Patch Careers is not responsible for third-party websites or their independent actions.
17. Intellectual Property
The Oil Patch Careers website, branding, software, original content, databases, selection and arrangement of information, and other proprietary materials are owned by or licensed to Oil Patch Careers except where otherwise indicated. Candidates retain ownership of personal information and original materials they provide, subject to permissions reasonably necessary for us to provide requested services.
18. Disclaimer
Oil Patch Careers provides its services on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that every job listing, automated recommendation, salary estimate, employer statement, AI-generated result, or third-party source will always be accurate, complete, or current.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Oil Patch Careers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from use of the service, reliance upon a job listing, an employer’s hiring decision, or conduct of a third party. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
20. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms as our services change or as required for legal or operational reasons. When appropriate, material changes will be communicated through the website, account interface, or email.
